Credit Control Manager

Antony James Recruitment Ltd are delighted to be working with an established company in recruiting a Credit Control Manager. Based fully at their Colchester HQ you will also be overseeing the AR function and working closely with the wider Finance teams.Main DutiesManaging a team of Credit ControllersFormulation of the company's credit policy to mitigate unnecessary riskReviewing credit applications and credit references to set credit limits and ensure creditworthinessPreparing journal entries, and credit notes and assisting with month endReview and report on Aged DebtorsRegularly meet and negotiate terms with third-party debt collection agenciesManage write-offs, bad debt provisions and setting up of payment plansPreparation of statement of claims for liquidatorsAssisting the broader accounts teamRegularly reviewing the process and procedures to reduce debtor daysSkills and attributesPrevious experience in end-to-end credit control and accounts receivable processesWorking knowledge of Credit lawStaff management experienceStrong written and verbal communication skills especially during complex customer negotiationsAbility to build relationships with multiple internal and external stakeholdersAbility to multi-taskIntermediate computer software skills, including Excel and other accounting packages
