We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Credit Control and Finance Assistant to join our dynamic finance team. This role is crucial in ensuring customer invoices are paid on time, resolving invoice disputes promptly, and mitigating the risk of bad debt. The successful candidate will provide regular updates and reports to management, actively participate in our shared services team with strict SLAs, and handle various finance-related tasks. This includes validating sales orders in the CRM system, submitting them to the finance system, raising purchase orders, and maintaining the shared service email inboxes. Additionally, the role involves validating timesheets and processing contractor invoices.

Key Responsibilities

Updating the cash flow daily and issuing weekly reports.
Building and maintaining relationships with clients to identify when invoices will be paid and resolve disputes.
Tracking customer payment patterns.
Sending dunning letters to customers for overdue invoices.
Allocating customer receipts on Netsuite according to remittance advices.
Validating sales order information and documents in Hubspot and submitting to Netsuite, notifying the relevant salesperson of any issues.
Raising purchase orders to suppliers where required.
Creating projects in TESA, the time entry system.
Validating timesheets in TESA for contractor invoices.
Processing contractor invoices on Netsuite.
Maintaining credit control and shared service email inboxes.
Providing support to other team members during busy periods.
Assisting the Finance Manager in the collation of audit samples.

Qualifications and Skills

Proven experience in credit control and finance roles.
Proficiency in Netsuite, Hubspot, and TESA (or similar systems).
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Good organisational and time management skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
