Posted 25 days ago

Your new company
Your new company will be an American publicly traded Fortune 500 holding company that offers electrical distribution and services. With a large, brand-new EMEA operating office based in central Chesterfield, they are seeking to add a Credit Analyst to their hard-working, qualified, dynamic and proactive Credit team. The company offers fantastic training within the Credit Analysis space, and you'll have experienced peers to develop your skills quickly and effectively to handle your portfolio. Within the Credit function, they have been CICMQ accredited for a number of years and will be working towards this again this year.

Your new role
Within your new role, post training, you'll take control of a large portfolio of geographical accounts for the company in a proactive, commercially strategic way. Whilst the role is mainly phone based, with email follow up, it is by no means a call centre role, account and internal relationship development will be a key factor in performing successfully. On a daily basis, there will be customer communication, liaison with the sales team, analysis of data and credit information and reconciling accounts to support audit requirements. On a monthly basis, you'll review Accounts Receivable performance and improvements.

What you'll need to succeed
To succeed in this position, a baseline knowledge of Credit Control / Credit Analysis is desired, with a few years of experience offering a better package. Some accounts reconciliation / finance methodology knowledge is a benefit. Strong Excel skills will be needed (V-Look Ups, Pivot Tables tec). However, the Manager of this role is keen to stress that technical Finance skills can be taught. The most important requirement for this role is your approach and values to your duties: being proactive, building relationships, problem-solving, developing your knowledge, being honest, working hard and being open to change. If you do already possess a CICM qualification, this will help towards the departments CICMQ accreditation.

What you'll get in return
This organisation offers a fantastic, long-term career within a stable and growing global organisation. They're offering a salary of up to £28,000 per annum depending on experience, with a package including 25 days holiday, extensive training and study support for relevant qualifications once probation is passed. With the role being based near Chesterfield office, it is easily accessible by road and public transport.
