As a Barclays Coverage Banker – TMT, you will have the chance to join our team and work within the Investment Banking division, which provides comprehensive financial advisory, capital raising, financing and risk management services to corporations, governments and financial institutions worldwide. This an exciting opportunity to drive sector coverage across specific Telecom, Media and Technology industry vertical(s) as well as managing and assisting in the execution of corporate finance transactions within the Technology sector. What will you be doing?• Contributing to sector coverage as well as managing and assisting in the execution of corporate finance transactions within the Technology sector• Being responsible for performing financial analysis, strategic business analysis and detailed industry research• You will be responsible for preparing and delivering client presentations in a clear and compelling manner• Acting as a mentor and role model to the more junior members of the team• Providing support to senior bankers in developing and maintaining client relationships, income streams or new business opportunities• Being responsible for providing project management support to senior team membersWhat we’re looking for:• Knowledge and understanding of basic accounting and financial concepts; ability to analyze and value businesses• Good understanding of professional ethics and regulatory environment, demonstrating best in class professional integrity• Excellent oral and written communication skills• Exceptional analytical and modelling skillsSkills that will help you in the role:• Technology sector expertise is essential• You should have a solid academic background (a minimum of Bachelor degree)• Solid relevant Investment Banking (corporate finance/M&A) experience or equivalent required• Fluent in English with the ability to communicate effectively in multiple languages is helpful Where will you be working?In the heart of Canary Wharf, our headquarters at Churchill Place boasts onsite amenities such as; a gym, staff restaurant and deli bar, and is easily accessible by tube and bus links.
