Cover Supervisor

Are you an experienced secondary school Cover Supervisor or teacher looking for a new opportunity in Birmingham? Look no further! We are currently seeking dedicated and enthusiastic individuals to join a well-established mixed secondary school located on the Sandwell border of Birmingham. This exciting role starts from September 2023, and for suitable applicants, there is an immediate opportunity for permanent employment.

As a Cover Supervisor, you will play a vital role in supporting students across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, ensuring their access to the curriculum while minimising disruption in the classroom. You will deliver pre-planned lessons and work across various secondary subject areas. Previous experience supporting students within a Secondary School or Further Education setting is highly desirable.

To excel in this Cover Supervisor role, you will need:

• Minimum qualifications of 5 GCSE passes at grade C or above, including Maths and English.
• Previous experience working with 11-16-year-olds.
• A positive attitude and a genuine passion for education.
• Confidence in managing behaviour within a classroom setting.
• Strong passion and work ethic, enabling you to effectively engage students of varying abilities.
• Commitment to maintaining high standards in teaching and learning throughout your role.
