Cover Manager Required in Tameside (Maternity Post)

Start Date: June 2024

Monday to Friday - 7am - 2:30pm

A popular secondary school in the Tameside area is looking for a Cover Manager for a Maternity Post starting in June 2024 for a minimum of 9 months. The school is looking for someone with administration experience and ideally familiarity with school systems such as SIMS and Class charts.

Duties include:

• To provide internal cover whereever possible to cover staff absence
• Report to the School Business manager and other members of SLT where necessary.
• Prepare daily cover lists covering duty rotas, examination cover lists, trips, collapsed timetable events.
• Ensure cover is planned to minimise cost at all times
• Laise with preferred 3rd party supply agencies to source supply staff when internal cover is not available.
• Administration support project work across the school during low exam season
• Promote team work at all times
• Observe good working practices and current health and safety regulations
• Observe and adhere to all Policies, Procedures and Regulations
• Attend training and administer basic first aid when required
