As a Course Leader, you will be entrusted with the academic leadership and management of the Course, reporting directly to the Programme Director. This pivotal role involves maintaining and enhancing educational standards, designing, developing, and delivering the curriculum, and managing day-to-day operations. You will ensure the effective implementation of university and college policies, leading with innovation in learning, teaching, and assessment strategies to foster a high-quality student experience.
Ideal candidates will bring a rich background with an undergraduate degree in performance, arts, filmmaking, or a related discipline, complemented by a proven track record in teaching and developing engaging content. About you
The academic leadership and management of MA Contemporary Photography; Practices and Philosophies, including the maintenance and enhancement of standards and the joint responsibility for the design, development and delivery of the curriculum. The day-to-day management of the course, including all areas of learning, teaching and assessment of students as well as allocated resources. Initiating and leading on the development of the course community for the benefit of a whole cohort learning experience. Leading on continuous monitoring and enhancement and, accordingly, maintaining records and liaising with colleagues as appropriate. Employing experience and expertise to expand the capacity of the course to explore current and emerging issues in contemporary art practice and theories. Actively promoting diversity and inclusion in both teaching and curriculum management, working alongside the Programme Leadership for continuous improvement. Working with and supporting a team devoted to equality, diversity and inclusion in the sector. You will work collaboratively with your course team, deploying specialist expertise to develop pedagogy and the curriculum in innovative and critical You will be a significant contributor to the student learning experience providing guidance, encouragement, motivation and support for our students.
