Adult Education Tutor – Counselling Tutor



Job Role: Adult Education Tutor – Counselling Tutor



Areas of delivery: Cheshire West and Chester, Ellesmere Port, Skelmersdale, Preston, Lancashire – mileage paid.



Day and hours of work: Mon-Fri (5 Days per week) 37.5 hours per week



Salary: £25,000 - £34,000 dependant on experience.





Overview

The tutors are required to deliver classroom or remote training for 19+ learners who are employed or unemployed. Our key areas for delivery are within the Liverpool City Region and Cheshire West and Chester.



Looking for a tutor to predominantly deliver Counselling qualifications however there may also be support required to deliver other courses eg. Mental Health and wellbeing, Substance Misuse and Adult Social Care (up to level 3), Mentoring, Volunteering, Suicide Awareness.  You do not need to have Tutor experience for this role.   Onsite 3 to 4 days per week as classes are 10am to 3pm and then can complete paperwork at home.  Visiting community hubs.





Key Job Role Responsibilities




  • Assessment; ensures the integrity of the training and assessment process for candidates on all funded qualifications.

  • Facilitates; Ensures teaching methods and learning checks are adapted to meet the needs of all learners in their individual settings.

  • Monitors progress and agrees development actions with learners and partners.

  • Partner relations; establishes, nurtures, and develops relationships with key stakeholders and partners at sites.

  • Ensure documentation and systems are completed accurately in line with contractual and internal procedures.

  • Adheres to quality assurance standards; liaises with the Internal Quality Assurer and participates in standardisation and verification visits.

  • Works with partners and Account managers to closely identify additional training needs for partners / learners and drive forward.

  • Embed British Values and Safeguarding throughout delivery and interaction with learners.

  • Embed maths and English throughout delivery.

  • Embed IAG throughout delivery.





Key Skills




  • Must have experience either as a Tutor for counselling/mental health level 3 or 4 or would like to become a Tutor who has a level 3 teaching qualification, with some practical experience in counselling or mental health.

  • Ability to complete paperwork to a high standard in a timely manner.

  • Must be a strong communicator, confident liaising with learners, key contacts, internal team, partners and suppliers.

  • Organised and methodical approach to work.

  • Capable to work within a fast-paced environment, managing workload in line with changing priorities whilst communicating updates.
