ToDue to growth in demand for our exceptional courses, alongside expansion of our vibrant department, we require additional lead and co tutors to deliver the following CPCAB counselling qualifications.Level 5 Diploma in Counselling Children and Young PeopleApplicants need to have:Level 5 Diploma in Counselling Children and Young People (CYP-L5) : Core tutor specification420 hours therapeutic counselling qualification at level 4 or above e.g. TC-L4 AND Relevant training specific to working with CYP e.g. CYP-L5Min 10 hours of personal therapyMember of a professional association for counselling or psychotherapy.30 hours per year CPD activities.2 years post-qualifying practice and current CYP practitioner AND Experienced in providing supervision to counsellors working with CYP.Teaching qualification AND 2 years teaching and assessing counselling qualifications at level 4 or aboveCo-Tutor Applicants need to have:420 hours therapeutic counselling qualification at level 4 and above.Current CYP practitioner OR Experience of providing supervision to counsellors.1 year teaching and assessing counselling qualifications at level 4 or above.In addition, ALL applicants will need to have the following credentials:Be a member of a profession association of counselling or psychotherapy (i.e. BACP or UKCP)Be able to evidence CPD, a minimum of 30 hours and committed to continue professional development.To hold a minimum of a Level 3 Award in Education and Training or be working towards this or another teaching qualification.Willingness to work with co-tutors and in the wider tutor team.Available to attend termly / quarterly team meeting outside of teaching hours.Passion and interest in developing students and the counselling profession.The courses at BCoT are integrative, so experience and knowledge of a variety of counselling modalities would be advantageous, with ideally a person centred/humanistic foundation.We have some amazing benefits on offer:Membership of (TPS, LGPS or PPS) Pension Scheme Free onsite parkingFree Annual Flu JabFree onsite GymBCoT Nursery, Restaurant and Hair & Beauty discountsStarbucks onsite!Applications will be considered upon receipt so please do not delay in submitting your application today!This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and the College is therefore permitted to ask job applicants to declare all convictions and cautions (including those which are "spent" unless they are "protected" under the DBS filtering rules) in order to assess their suitability to work with children.BCoT is an equal opportunities employer and we welcome enquiries from everyone and value diversity in our workforceThe college is rated Good by Ofsted, with outstanding features, has continued to improve since its last inspection and has maintained outstanding financial health for many years.BCoT is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all its learners, and expects all staff to share this commitment.
