Cost Engineer - VR/29366

6-month contract position to start as soon as possible, this may extend. You will work as part of a busy team in fast growing business. We are looking for experienced Cost Accountants/Engineers.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:Recording daily costs using the project system.Approving vendor CTR’s (cost, time, resource).Checking and approving vendor invoices.Supporting suppliers on any queries.Ensuring all financial transactions are properly recorded and reporting is reliable and accurate.Monitoring client purchase orders and tracking costs against these.Creating client variation orders for projects.Preparing daily, weekly and monthly estimated cost reports for the ongoing projects.On award of new projects, creating the monthly project cost report structure which include actual and estimated costs to date as well as projections to completion, including variances against budget.Performing month-end accounting activities such as producing project cost reports, ensuring all costs are recorded correctly and performing any project close out routines as required.Producing end of well cost reports and provide narrative to variances between reportsto provide analyses of the performance of projects over the project life.Facilitating timely and accurate progress billing to customers in conjunction with the Finance and Project Teams.Supporting continuous improvement of internal control and standard operating procedures.Supporting the ongoing management of the ERP system and any project related system(s).Supporting the tendering process as and when required.Establishing a high level of credibility and managing strong working relationships with internal and external parties.Applicants to this role require:Experience in a similar role within the oil and gas industry, ideally with a rig contractor or operator.Experience in supporting and developing ERP and operational systems.TMM Recruitment INDFIN
