Our client is looking for a Project Controller with experience within Cost and Change to support a Defence programme.Day to day, you’ll be supporting the Project Controls Manager in providing project cost control and change management services to an £100m+ programme.This is a hybrid role with on site work as and when required. 1-2 days per week likely.Key responsibilitiesManaging the financial aspects of the programme from initiation to completion.This includes the development, implementation and refinement of effective cost control measures.Perform cost forecasting, cost variance analysis and performance evaluation.Develop cost estimates and forecasts, identifying potential risks and variance.Assessing and managing the financial impact of changes in project scope, requirements or objectives.Ownership and management of our client’s change management process.Ensure application of project controls are integrated and feeding one another to effectively support project delivery.Prepare and deliver all necessary internal and external cost control reports and documentation.Provide key input into the production and management of Control Account Plans.Collate, organise, and present the necessary data to enable Earned Value Management (EVM) reporting.Provide the necessary input to enable Cost Risk Analysis (CRA).Skills & experienceThis role will suit candidates with a background in finance, accountancy, project management or project controls.Cost controls experience and applying cost management to projects.Previous experience on complex defence projects.Experience in the application of SRA/CRA and EVM.Experience managing change processes and formally driving and identifying the need for change through application of integrated project controls.Experience working with senior level managers both internally and externally.APM PMQ, Chartered status or equivalent (advantageous).Our client is committed to providing a diverse and inclusive workplace and welcomes applications from all backgrounds.Please note that the client has determined that the off-payroll working rules will apply to this assignment and therefore this contract will be run through an Umbrella Company.
