Cost Controller

This is a great opportunity for an enthusiastic individual to be an integral part of our Wytch Farm team. Reporting directly to our General Manager this position will be responsible for supporting the Wytch Farm Subsidiary by effectively managing costs across multiple activities.This is a multi-faceted role which requires the ability to work with our Norwich finance team whilst also having the ability to work independently; you will be liaising with the management and project managers and providing monthly reports to group cost control.The successful candidate will be self-motivated and have attention to detail in their work.This position will be based in our Wytch Farm office and operates on a Monday to Friday basis.Key Responsibilities Include:• Prepare and submit monthly accruals to Financial Timetable• Ongoing critical review of Opex costs and hold monthly Opex reviews with cost centre managers/teams• Project cost controller responsible for tracking all costs, liaising with project managers and forecasts phased and updated monthly• Track committed spend / POs in support of all Wytch Farm costs• Contribute to rolling forecasts and annual budget preparations• Other ad hoc tasksKey Requirements Include:Qualifications/Experience:• Qualified accountant (ACCA/CIMA) or relevant experience• Strong knowledge of general accounting procedures essential with a broad practical experience• Good working knowledge of SAP• Confident IT user and an expert user in Excel• Excellent written and verbal communication skillsPersonal Attributes:• Strong attention to detail• Ability to work flexibly by prioritising and planning workloads• Enthusiastic about new challenges and a willingness to develop and broaden skills• Pro-active with an ability to work independently• Professional, confident and approachable• This role has the opportunity to grow and progressBenefits:At Perenco we value and reward our people, offering competitive salaries and a wide range of benefits including:• Discretionary Bonus• Private Medical Insurance• Flexible Benefit Allowance• Life Assurance• Excellent Pension Provision• 25 Days Holiday• Profit ‘Units’ Sharing SchemeSalary rangeCompetitiveJob location
