Cost Controller

TeamJobs is looking for a Cost Controller for our client based in Wareham. This is a multi-faceted role which requires the ability to work with our clients finance team whilst also having the ability to work independently; you will be liaising with the management and project managers and providing monthly reports to group cost control.

The successful candidate will be self motivated and have attention to detail in their work.

Responsibilities:

• Compile and submit monthly accruals in adherence to the Financial Timetable.
• Conduct regular critical evaluations of Opex costs and conduct monthly Opex reviews with cost centre managers/teams.
• Act as the project cost controller, overseeing the tracking of all project costs, collaborating closely with project managers, and providing phased and updated forecasts monthly.
• Monitor committed spending and purchase orders to support all Wytch Farm expenses.
• Contribute to the development of rolling forecasts and annual budget preparations.
• Undertake miscellaneous tasks as required.

What we require from you:

• Certified accountant (ACCA/CIMA) or equivalent practical experience.
• Thorough understanding of general accounting principles and procedures, supported by substantial hands-on experience.
• Proficiency in SAP software.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel.
• Meticulous attention to detail.
• Ability to adapt and prioritise tasks effectively.
• Eagerness to tackle new challenges and expand skillset.
• Proactive approach to work with the ability to operate independently.
• Professional demeanour, with excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
• Strong potential for career growth and progression within the role.
