Cost Accountant

About Our Client A large and key public sector entity within the UK government, located in London.
Job Description The Cost Accountant duties will include:Delivering cost recovery process as per agreed time lines, resolving internal and external issues on cost recovery for services that are recharged to government departments. Overseeing and managing budget management and forecasting for delivery of services - working closely with budget holders, service delivery teams and direct line reportsManaging month end reporting and process. Preparing financial models to price projects, products and mixed deliverables. Providing support with data analysis and narrative for government reporting.
The Successful Applicant The successful Cost Accountant will be a Qualified Accountant with good technical accounting skills who has previous line management experience to manage three staff. Your exposure will include relevant experience working in managing cost recovery and include a full range of finance cycles (monthly, quarterly, annually). You will need to be a confident user of Excel.
What's on Offer A salary range from £58,000 to £64,000 plus an excellent benefits package including civil service pension scheme.
