With a workforce of over 1000 employees, they are known for their cutting-edge research and development activities. The company operates on a global scale, with its headquarters in South Manchester. They are looking to hire a Cost Accountant to their high calibre finance team.Job DescriptionThis role reports in to the Senior Finance Manager and plays a key role within the manufacturing process and will involve:Prepare and analyse cost reportsConduct cost audits and generate budget forecastsCollaborate with the finance team on financial analysis projectsAssist in the development of cost-saving measuresEnsure compliance with accounting regulations and standardsGenerate cost information for managerial decisionsParticipate in monthly and yearly financial closingsSupport the finance team in ad-hoc tasks when necessaryThe Successful ApplicantA successful Cost Accountant should have:Proven experience in a similar role within manufacturingStrong knowledge of accounting principles and regulationsStrong user of ERP systems like SAP or OracleProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and accounting softwareExcellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilitiesExceptional organisational and multitasking skillsWhat's on OfferA competitive salary of £55,000 per annum33 days holidayHybrid working model - 3 days in the office Michael Page is part of the PageGroup.
