About Our Client This is a large manufacturing business with a significant presence in the UK market. They are looking for a Cost Accountant to join their team on a permanent basis. The business can offer a salary of between £37,000 - £40,000, study support and hybrid working.
Job DescriptionImplementing cost standards for materials and labour.Conducting cost analysis and preparing budget reports.Assisting in monthly and quarterly accounting close procedures.Collaborating with procurement and operations to develop a cost forecast.Identifying and recommending cost-effective solutions.Participating in audits and general ledger preparation.Ensuring compliance with accounting procedures and internal audits.Preparing (monthly, quarterly and annual) cost forecasts. The Successful Applicant A successful Cost Accountant should have:A degree in Accounting, Finance, or relevant field.Proficiency in accounting software.Strong knowledge of cost accounting and financial management.Excellent analytical skills with a strong focus on accuracy and attention to detail.Good business acumen for problem-solving.Excellent communication skills.Confidence in building relationships with internal departments and key stakeholders.
