Corporate Tax Senior Manager - International & Large Corporate

We currently have an opening for a Corporate Tax Manager/Assistant Manager to join our International & Large Corporate team.THE ROLECORPORATE TAX SENIOR MANAGER - Aberdeen, Glasgow, Edinburgh, Leeds, BelfastPurpose of the role/key responsibilities: Management of a compliance portfolio of UK compliance clients (large corporate or international)Reviewing advice and reports drafted by junior members of the team covering a range of international and large UK corporate tax issues including: providing support to businesses when expanding into new and emerging marketsCo-ordinating and overseeing in-country corporate tax compliance inhouse and with local advisorsTax efficient structuring and restructuring adviceLegal entity simplification and rationalisationIntercompany transactions advice and compliance with transfer pricingManaging the delivery of advice for Large Corporates and international clients e.g.: Tax risk reviews.SAO/CbCR/Tax Strategy.Transfer pricing, CFC, DTR, Permanent Establishments, Diverted Profit Tax, Profit FragmentationCorporate Criminal OffenceBEPS/Pillar IICo-ordinating the delivery of advice from international teams.Managing the delivery of advice on complex funding structure matters e.g. Interest deductibility (e.g. thin capitalisation, CIR, anti-hybrid, late-paid interest)Debt restructuring (e.g. loan releases, deemed releases)WHTManaging the delivery of advice on group restructurings (e.g. demergers, hive-ups, purchase of own shares)Experience of preparing tax opinions and seeking opinions from Tax Counsel on complex matters.Interpreting and analysing new and developing UK legislationOptimising financial structures in a tax efficient mannerProactively managing UK and overseas tax investigations and enquiriesBuilding and developing relationships with clients and identifying opportunities for new work from existing and new clientsDeveloping and growing our managers, assistant managers and junior tax advisors and supporting the training of our wider CT teamSupport the leadership team with key business wide projects and initiatives e.g. tax technology developments, growth initiatives etcFlexible and agile approach to workEffective time management skills with excellent communication and project management skillsExperience and skill set required for the role:CA, or equivalent, and ATT/CTA/ADIT (or breadth of knowledge equivalent to CTA)7+ years of prior UK corporate tax experience with multinational groupsExperience of UK and overseas compliance and international tax advisory work requiredSuccessful management of international and large corporate projects from engagement and onboarding, through to delivery on time and on budget and with follow up and feedbackProfessional, technical and pro-active approach to delivering tax advice to clientsExperience in coaching or developing junior team membersTHE BENEFITSOver the years, AAB has been recognised for its excellent working practices by some of the most prestigious award bodies in the UK.
