Corporate Tax Manager

We are looking for a motivated, dynamic individual that can provide tax advice across a wide variety of sectors and taxes. Training and support will be provided to the right individual to further develop existing tax knowledge.You must be CTA qualified or ACA/ACCA qualified and keen to study towards CTA. Experience with corporate taxes is essential and experience in other areas of tax will also beneficial. You may currently be working in an accounts/audit team with a strong interest in tax advisory, or you may already be working within a dedicated tax team.What can we offer you?A competitive market rate salaryCTA study package (if required)Excellent on-the-job training and supportA modern friendly working environment in BrightonPrivate Health Insurance and Cash Plan (after a qualifying period)The role would include:Liaising and corresponding with HMRC in respect of clearance applications, enquiries etcDrafting reports and letters of advice for a number of tax advisory issuesPreparing calculations to support adviceLiaising with clients and attending meetings with other team membersTraining and reviewing the work of more junior members of staffProviding support to Directors and Partners in the Tax Advisory GroupExamples of work you would be assisting the team with:Advice and implementation of corporate reconstructions, investor reliefs such as EIS/SEIS, staff incentive schemesAdvising owner managed businesses regarding remuneration planning, succession planningPreparation of research & development claims, VAT returns, SDLT returnsAdvising individuals regarding IHT planning and CGT mitigationThe ideal candidate will have:Strong oral and written communication skillsExcellent teamwork and organisational skills, including monitoring timetables and budgetsStrong analytical skills and attention to detailA keen interest in learning and developing tax knowledgeIf you have any questions about this role, contact HR Manager Helen Ruff
