You will be the main point of contact for clients and team members regarding corporate tax. As such, you will be responsible for reviewing computations as well as the preparation of the more complex returns, and the related advisory matters that arise out of these.As your career develops you will have the opportunity to work in and develop your knowledge in a variety of tax planning areas, such as transactional work, share scheme work and on tax incentives such as EIS and R&D.You’ll be a self-starter who is motivated to see projects through to completion in a timely manner and with excellent technical skills and close attention to detail. You will have a can-do attitude to problem-solving. You will need to be a good communicator, with an eye for detail and a gift for explaining the complex.You’ll strive for excellence, continued development, and improvement; you’ll be able to identify tax planning and possible tax investigation issues and feel confident communicating and escalating them as required.KEY DUTIES-Reporting to the Tax Directors, managing a portfolio of corporate clients in a wide variety of tax specific areas, including tax planning, reviews, returns, reporting, and compliance – aiming for customer service excellence-Work alongside the Directors and the rest of the Tax Team to seek opportunities and innovate for clients by tax planning and adding value-Build and retain relationships with clients-Be the first point of contact for your portfolio of clients, offering advice, whether reactive or proactive as required – getting to know their business challenges and opportunities-Assist in training other team members-Undertake such other duties that are required commensurate with the rolePERSON SPECIFICATION-CTA, ATT or qualified by experience, you will be an out-and-out tax professional with proven skills in tax compliance and have demonstrable accountancy practice experience-Demonstrable experience of working within corporate taxation and tax compliance-Demonstrable experience of working in an advisory, client-facing role-Excellent and effective communication skills and the ability to provide proactive advice to clients in written and verbal formats-A team player that encourages and motivates others-A can-do attitude to problem-solving with the ability to think on your feet-Self-motivated with the ability to produce work in a timely manner and encourage excellence in others-A creative and analytical thinker-Close attention to detail-Ambitious and career-orientedThis vacancy is being handled by Laura Banks – Kenton Black FinanceIf you have the above skills and attributes with previous practice experience in a similar position, and would like to find out more then please APPLY TODAYKenton Black Finance operate across the UK as a market leading recruitment partner, specialising in the attraction of finance talent across both permanent and interim requirements.
