All global subsidiaries report to the Group Finance Team, which is responsible for the consolidation and review of such information. The team is split into four areas, Financial Accounting, Management Accounting, Tax & Treasury.As the Corporate Tax Accountant you role would include being responsible for/supporting the Head of Tax with all direct tax matters. You would also be responsible for the development of the Group’s Tax Associate.This role would suit somebody who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and who has a passion for investing in the growth of others.

Key Responsibilities
Preparation of draft corporation tax computations for all UK entities
Preparation of draft tax accounting journals and disclosures for all UK entities
Support Head of Tax with review of overseas tax reporting as part of year-end consolidation
Ensuring withholding taxes for dividends, royalties and interest are dealt with correctly, including ensuring that relevant documentation is in place prior to payments being received from overseas markets
Support Head of Tax with the ongoing review of tax risks and internal controls for SAO compliance and documentation
Support Head of Tax in meeting the groups Transfer Pricing obligations
Initial preparation of RDEC and Patent Box claims
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
Prior experience in tax accounting is essential including preparing corporate tax returns, tax research and analysing tax implications
A strong understanding of tax laws, regulations and compliance requirements
Experience with local tax regulations as well as international tax laws
Familiarity with financial reporting standards such as GAAP and IFRS to accurately report tax provisions and deferred taxes on financial statements
Experience in tax planning and strategy development to optimise tax efficiencies, minimise liabilities and support business goals, including identifying tax-saving opportunities, tax implications and tax efficient structures
Experience in providing support during tax audits and preparing documentation
Experience of working in the retail and/or manufacturing industry would be advantageous
Minimum of AAT/ATT qualified, or studying towards CTA/ACCA qualification
