Absolute Executive Search are partnered with a well respected Accountancy Practice who are searching for a Corporate Finance Senior to join their growing team.

This role is an exciting opportunity to join a busy corporate finance team where you will get involved in a wide range of financial transactions and reporting.

Key responsibilities:-
  • Support the existing team in respect of transaction support for acquisitions, disposals and fundraisings as appropriate (this will involve liaising with clients, funders and intermediaries during the execution of transactions);
  • Support the existing team in the preparation of business valuations;
  • Developing and reviewing financial models within Excel for a variety of purposes;
  • Undertaking due diligence projects for a variety of purposes;
  • Creating high quality written output as required - for example information memorandums, business plans etc.
  • Market research on sector performance or identifying potential acquisition targets or buyers;
  • Researching, preparing and supporting the preparation of proposals for new work, including agreeing the scope and fee for such work;
  • Supporting the team with the ongoing development of the Corporate Finance function of the firm;
  • Understand and respond appropriately to client and other stakeholders needs;
Success in this role will look like:
  • As a corporate finance executive I senior, you will report directly to the Director / Manager as appropriate, working across a range of sectors and with entrepreneurial and OMB clients in the SME space.
  • Working with the existing team, including our specialist tax advisors you will also be expected to help develop the Corporate Finance offering of the firm, both by appropriate networking and support in the development and ongoing improvement of systems and processes.

Technical Skills
  • Relevant technical expertise and awareness to identify risk areas
  • Technical capability with accounting software platforms and appropriate add-ons;
  • Proficient computer skills including advanced Microsoft Excel skills.

Experience and Qualifications

  • ACA I ACCA qualified or similar;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
  • Demonstrate an analytical and commercial mind set, alongside a high level of accuracy and technical skills;
  • Background in audit work is preferable and experience of corporate finance work would be desirable but not required;
  • Experience in a UK based practice environment.
  • Full driving licence with access to car would be preferred;
  • Base office will be Chelmsford, but the role will require you to visit their other offices across Essex.
