In addition to our strong ethos of evidence-based research, RAND Europe is a values-driven organisation, and our experience shows that our most successful researchers closely align their behaviours with our value set.As Corporate Affairs Officer, you will support the Communications and Partnerships Director with promoting RAND Europe’s Brand, Corporate Responsibility, Corporate Relations and executing the Corporate Affairs strategy. Key responsibilities Supporting the Communications and Partnerships Director to execute and monitor RAND Europe’s corporate affairs strategy.
Reporting to the Communications and Partnerships Director, and working closely with the President, you will manage the membership of the Council of Advisors. Responsible for the RAND Europe Council of Advisors meetings and corporate receptions, working with the events co-ordinator to ensure the events run smoothly, and that the necessary event collateral is produced.
Business planning for corporate events, including selecting and negotiating with vendors, cost monitoring and invoicing. Managing RAND Europe’s Alumni Network including maintaining a register of Alumni, fostering relationships with the Alumni and organising events with support from the Events Co-ordinator. Supporting the President and Executive Board by helping maintain the awareness of organisational policies, helping to avoid conflicts of interest, and promoting RAND Europe’s organisational values. Producing a range of corporate publications, including internal and external newsletters/updates.
Prepare, compile, and deliver the annual spotlight report, highlighting RAND Europe’s research activity.
Supporting the Communications and Partnerships Director to promote RAND Europe’s brand. Continually innovate the corporate affairs activities of RAND Europe, by finding new innovative, attractive, and inclusive ways to convey information and messages which are dynamic and inclusive across our stakeholders. Complies with all company policies and RAND Europe Management Systems.
Excellent communication skills evidenced by clear and succinct writing style, and the ability to communicate complex ideas in an accessible way. Experience managing and executing events. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage a wide range of people. High attention to detail, particularly regarding written work, budget, and event planning. Strong organisation and time management skills with the ability to work under pressure, being self-motivated, including in a fast-paced environment able to use own initiative under minimal supervision. Ability to work as part of a team and support colleagues. Confident, resilient, and resourceful. A commitment to excellence and professionalism. Appreciation of and support for the mission and values of RAND Europe. Knowledge Experience of working in both a corporate and public sector environment would be beneficial.
Good IT skills including constituent management systems.
