As a member of the creative team the copywriter aides and supports the design team in campaign development and develops acute messaging that is clearly written and compelling to the desired target audienceJob Qualifications:B.A. Degree, preferably in English or Writing. A combination of work experience and education could be substituted2-3 years in editing and/or creative writingExcellent customer service skillsExcellent written and verbal skillsHighly organized Must be able to work independentlyAcute attention to detailsKeen knowledge of grammar Ability to prioritize workloadResponsibilities(* denotes an “essential function”) * Provides overall quality control for printed and digital copy *Checks the flow of client’s materials for consistency and appropriateness of verb tenses, transitional phrasing, continuity of thoughts and support of statementsIncorporates client’s editsResolves queries with the clientCorrects spelling, punctuation and grammarProofreads final copyFormats citations, references and footnotes according to client’s style guide/manualProvides feedback regarding the overall effectiveness of contentRewrites sentences when necessaryWorks with designers to ensure projects meet departmental and brand standards on a daily basis* Ensures that messages match the medium and are communicated in the most effective manner possible*Establishes strong relationships across departments *Writes clear, persuasive original copy*Understands client needs, the consumer experience, marketing strategy and operational capabilitiesContacts client to discuss overall goal of project, as neededLearns about client’s products/services, the target audience, competitors’ activities Works with designers and art director to develop creative ideas and conceptsAmends or revises written content in response to feedback from clients or creative directorWrites new copy to support customer and internal communications, e.g., solicitation, email, invites, websiteAttends project kick-off meetings, as needed, and stays up-to-date on current/upcoming projectsWorks closely with key stakeholders to identify and keep current on branding strategy and standardsAs an ethical employer, Tag will never ask job applicants to provide private, sensitive information upfront or make offers of employment contingent on financial requests or responsibilities from any candidate.
