Location: Beijing, China
Full-time: 12-month renewable contract
ABOUT THE JOB
The Vibe of
CGTN Culture is seeking experienced copy editors to join its growing team of dedicated and passionate culture reporters, editors and hosts in Beijing. Ideal candidates will have work experience in a fast-paced environment. If you consider yourself a positive and energetic person, who is committed to the highest standards, we would like to get to know you! Applicants will read and edit scripts critically; make edits consistent with CGTN’s standards while prioritizing accuracy and brevity; and spot spelling, punctuation, grammar and syntax errors.
Responsibilities:
● Edit existing culture content for TV programs
● Make sure that scripts are readable, accurate and ready for air and publication
● Fix any punctuation, spelling, grammatical and syntax errors
● Polish English content on international and Chinese history and culture
● Collaborate with hosts, reporters and editors
● Make edits consistent with CGTN’s standards;
Minimum Qualifications:
● At least 3+ years
relevant
experience in editing and fact-checking at an international or national television organization
● English as a first language speaker with a valid passport
● An eye for detail and the ability to produce spotless copy
● Ability to multitask and work as a team player
● BA degree or above
