Our mission is to enhance quality of life and promote equality of opportunity for all.We advocate for the voluntary and community sector, collaborating with local government and other authorities to drive positive change.As the Volunteer Coordinator Manager, you will oversee a crucial initiative: the Beachy Head Ambassadors program. Commissioned by East Sussex Public Health, this 2-year pilot aims to harness the power of volunteer-led visitor engagement to promote safe use of the Beachy Head area, while changing public perceptions and preventing suicides.Fixed term seasonal contract: Year 1: April 2024 – October 2024 @ 0.8 full time equivalent Year 2: April 2025 – October 2025 @ 0.6 full time equivalentWhat will your role look like? Designing and implementing a recruitment process for up to 16 volunteers Coordinating a comprehensive, multi-agency training program Managing volunteer expenses, uniforms, DBS checks, safeguarding, and GDPR training Coordinating psychological support for volunteers as needed Collaborate with the 3VA team to achieve organisational objectives Stay updated on relevant legislation, policies, and best practices Undertake additional duties aligned with the roleWhat can you expect in return? 25 days pro rata 3VA will match contributions of up to 6% of annual salary Nest pension scheme To make a tangible difference in your community To lead a dynamic team of volunteers towards a meaningful goal To work with a supportive and inclusive organisation committed to your professional growth3VA is an equal opportunity employer.
