Our client is seeking an experienced Controller to oversee the financial operations and reporting within the organization. The Controller will be responsible for ensuring accurate reporting of historical and actual financial transactions across various departments, including accounts payable, purchasing, vendor management, treasury, financial reporting, and financial planning.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the recruiting and selection of accounting staff
Mentor and provide guidance to financial team members
Collaborate with management and external stakeholders for financial reporting
Manage accounts receivable, accounts payable, and payroll processes
Ensure compliance with statutory requirements and financial regulations
Oversee monthly financial reporting and reconciliations
Coordinate with IT consultants for equipment and system needs
Conduct risk management analysis for new customers and monitor job costing and profitability
Prepare and review financial statements, budgets, and forecasts
Develop and implement financial policies and procedures
Liaise with auditors, banking institutions, insurance providers, and other external parties
Monitor cash flow, financial performance, and variances
Drive process improvements and efficiency in financial operations
Review and analyze financial data to identify trends and opportunities for cost savings
Provide strategic financial guidance to senior management for decision-making
Ensure accurate and timely completion of all financial reporting requirements
Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts for optimal terms
Stay updated on industry trends and changes in financial regulations
Requirements/Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Master’s degree preferred)
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation
Minimum of 5 years of experience in a financial leadership role
Proficiency in financial management software and Microsoft Office Suite
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and leadership abilities
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
