MC Technical Recruitment is currently looking to recruit a Controls & Instrumentation(C&I Design Engineer to join a leading business within the Energy sector.

Working as part of a large design team you will be responsible leading the C&I design function.

As the Design Engineer, you will be responsible for:  

• Taking ownership for large scale work associated with energy control systems
• Preparing plans and quotes for tender proposals
• Acting as the senior member of staff to support and mentor junior engineers
• Producing control systems documentation
• Provide engineering support to stakeholders throughout construction and commissioning phase
• Other duties as assigned

To be considered for this role you should have:

• Proven experience in a design engineering role
• A relevant engineering qualification in Electrical/Electronics Engineering
• Experience working with PLC and SCADA systems
• An understanding of mechanical systems is beneficial
• The ability to mentor junior staff members
• Experience working within the Power Generation / Energy sector is preferred but not essential
