From the food you eat, to the water you drink, to the medicines you rely on, Eurofins laboratories work with the biggest companies in the world to ensure the products they supply are safe, their ingredients are authentic, and labelling is accurate.Eurofins is dedicated to delivering testing services that contribute to the health and safety of society and the planet, and to its corporate responsibility to protect the environment and ensure diversity, equity, and inclusion across the entire network of Eurofins companies.Job DescriptionThis is a part time position, totalling 22.5hrs per week over 3 days.This is a hybrid working role.The role will provide commercial and legal administrative support to the Legal team and, where necessary, to the wider legal and corporate governance department, liaising with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure the delivery and management of all commercial and corporate contracts and processes.The role holder will develop a clear understanding of the Eurofins policies and legal requirements to ensure compliance and adequate protection of Eurofins.In this role, you will also support meeting the compliance requirements of the Eurofins Group’s UK and Ireland legal entities in a timely manner. The role includes ensuring that the Group’s UK and Ireland companies comply with the internal “Spending & Contracting Authority” directive. You will be required to work with the Company Secretary to ensure Legal and Compliance requirements are in place across the UK and Ireland Eurofins Group Companies by supporting the coordination of compliance-related activities. Provide day to day compliance and legal administration support and assistance to the Company SecretaryDraft and review contracts and agreements, ensuring that appropriate risks are identified, Eurofins stakeholder requirements are catered for, and Eurofins’ reputational and financial interests are adequately protected.Analyse legal provisions, including clauses, stipulations, obligations and liabilities.Negotiate contract terms and provisions without compromising on core Eurofins policies and requirements.Carry out legal research using appropriate legal aids and databases including LexisPSL,and document research outcomes in a detailed, clear and concise manner.Assist the wider department, as and when required, on new regulatory developments to ensure that business processes operate within the relevant requirements.Support the Business Units in identifying and addressing legal requirements and support the development of processes, procedures and controls as required.Enforce record management policies and procedures and coordinate overall file and database management.Maintain the contract repository to ensure data is updated and expiration dates are accurate.Complete certain procedural tasks through corporate software tools to complete the department's responsibility for compliance processes.Assess and filter business requests and determine whether the requests can be dealt with internally or through the use of external legal resource.Draft and review appropriate briefs for external legal resource.Management and filing of Group’s intercompany service agreements.Updating and maintaining the Group’s corporate data held in the Corporate Dataroom and on the Group’s data management system.Assistance with drafting and management of intercompany service agreements for Group UK and Ireland companies.Maintain robust systems and tracking to support the management of key tasks and responsibilitiesAssist in the tracking of UK and Ireland companies’ compliance with key governance policies and compliance targets.Responding to email queries and calls relevant to the roleSupporting the wider Legal/Company Secretarial team with administrative tasks as required.QualificationsLaw degree, GDL or LPC orequivalentMust have completed a module in Contracts Law either in a Business or Legal Diploma and must have a good understanding of commercial contracts and legal principals associated with Contracts Law.Background or experience in a commercial contracts environment or position to include compliance and data protection.Able to work independentlyAble to produce quality and professional contracts within established timelines.Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to write clearly and conciselyStrong business acumenPossess excellent organisational andattention to detail skillsProactive, willing to reach out to find an answer when neededTrustworthy, experienced and capable of keeping confidential information confidentialAdditional InformationAt Eurofins we are growing, innovating and always learning.
