Role Overview:
As the Contracts & Operations Head, you will play a pivotal role in driving our company’s growth and ensuring operational excellence. Your responsibilities will span across Operations, Contracts and Depots. You’ll collaborate closely with senior managers, stakeholders, and the Managing Director to achieve company objectives.

Key Responsibilities of the Contracts & Operations Head:


  1. Strategic Leadership:

    • Develop and execute our business strategy, aligning with short and long-term goals.
    • Communicate and breathe life into the strategy, inspiring your team to embrace it.

  2. Business Development:

    • Price and secure work in line with our Business Development Strategy.
    • Allocate resources effectively to secure Frameworks and manage large-scale projects.
    • Produce accurate customer requested quotes.
    • Manage sales margins.
    • Oversee major accounts.


  1. Operational Efficiency:

    • Ensure correct utilisation of resources to drive efficiencies.
    • Ensure statutory obligations are being met.
    • Align company policies across all Scottish depots.
    • Training and Staff development


Qualifications and Skills:


  • Proven experience in business operations management.
  • Strong understanding of financial constraints and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent time management and adaptability.
  • Innovative mindset to overcome barriers.
  • Experience in developing and implementing strategic business plans.
  • Business development experience
  • Experience in pricing quotes and tenders.
  • Client Relationship Management skills – maintaining and developing new relationships.
  • Able to excel in high-pressure situations.
  • Flexibility and able to travel.
