We're on the lookout for an experienced Contracts Manager to work for a D&B Fit Out contractor.

You will be spending a couple of days on Site a week and the rest of the week will be spent at the office in Windsor.

You will be responsible for the projects from handover to completion - handling all the financials of the projects as well as chairing client meetings. You will also be responsible for the H&S on the projects.

The Projects you will be managing are commercial fit outs within the value of �2M - �8M, these projects are nationwide but most are in and around London.

The ideal Contracts Manager must have/be:

  • Commercial Fit Out Experience
  • Be a good team player and leader
  • A good track record of delivering fit out projects
  • Act as an on-site client representative/liaison
  • Experience managing a multi-disciplined site team
  • A trade background (desirable but not essential)
  • Experience dealing with day-to-day operational issues
  • Managing contractors on site and ensuring they meet deadlines and expectations
  • Cost control (essential)
  • Programme and progress reporting
  • Attending and leading client and professional team meetings
  • The ability to plan and programme projects with knowledge of planning software
  • Health & Safety management; over-viewing and compiling risk assessments and method statements as necessary for all site tasks
  • Understanding of risks, conducting assessments and management
  • Neighbourhood relationship management - knowledge of CCS desirable but not essential
  • Inspections of contractor works etc that may necessitate working at heights, climbing/traversing scaffolds
  • Collation and preparation of closeout schedules including O&M manuals
  • Good presentation skills with involvement in the work winning process - bids and interviews
