Reference: VAC-342200_1712830338 Posted: April 11, 2024One of our New Build Housing clients are looking for an experienced Contracts Manager to join their team to assist the build team in ensuring quality homes are built for our customers. As Contracts Manager you will maintain excellent levels of Health and Safety, delivering high levels of customer satisfaction and producing defect free homes.Full job description:Provide quality time on sites to fully assess the quality of our contractors and our own trades.Provide advice to the site teams on all the key stages: foundations, drainage, super structure quality, pre plaster requirements and final inspections.Fully inspect properties prior to final inspection by NHBC and LABC to ensure the property is fully compliant with building regulations and standards, ensuring cover notes are issued on the first attempt.Liaise with the contractors and suppliers to discuss the site demands and requirements to aid the site teams in achieving targets.Assist in programme planning to a level of detail necessary for the site team to deliver the planned numbers, without delays.Monitor programmes on a weekly basis acting where plots are behind programme.Ensure site teams are fully compliant with the commercial procedures to ensure no delays are experienced.By example, set the highest possible standards of leadership in promotion of HS&E procedures and best practice, ensuring compliance with procedures and legal obligations.Oversee and ensure that HSE related documents and statutory site paperwork are kept up to date and undertake senior manager site inspections, ensuring that audits are carried out.Liaise with all parties to ensure the sites are fully compliant with procedures, policies and safety standards are maintained, or exceeded.Monitor the customer care admin platform and ensure the site teams have the support in addressing all matters in a timely fashion.Review final inspection sheets and assist in ensuring any found issues are addressed prior to legal completion.Meet with our customers to assess raised defects and arrange for action.Skills & qualifications needed:Experience working within a high-volume housebuilding company (essential)Advanced knowledge of construction management processes, means and methodsExpert knowledge of building products, construction details and relevant rules, regulations and quality standardsUnderstanding of all facets of the construction processLeadership and human resources management skillsExcellent time and project management skillsCompetitive Salary, car/car allowance, bonus scheme, pension, private healthcare etc.How to apply:If you are looking for a new opportunity and this role is of interest, please apply via the link below or contact Adam De-Ville at Fawkes & Reece on 01142130903.
