Job Description
About the Role
We have an excellent opportunity for a Construction Lawyer with a minimum of 1 year post-qualified experience to join us as a Contracts Manager.
The Contracts Manager is responsible for reviewing appointment documents and negotiating amendments for Members of the Wren Insurance Association Limited. You will be joining a large team of solicitors and legal executives. Together you will assist Wren’s Members to be appointed on terms falling within their cover and handle any resulting negotiations.
Your Responsibilities
Reviewing Members’ appointments and other related documentation and advising them of the coverage position
Proposing amendments where necessary to those documents to bring them within cover
Negotiating amendments with the Member’s client and/or the client’s advisers (if required)
Participating in meetings with Members to explain coverage issues
Delivery of presentations to Members on coverage issues
About You
Knowledge/Experience
Non-contentious construction experience from a law firm or an in-house legal team
Familiar with professional indemnity matters relating to construction professionals
Qualifications/Education
Legally qualified with a minimum of 1-year PQE (UK or QLTT is desirable)

Negotiating and influencing – the ability to influence and persuade people at all levels and to negotiate to ensure the best outcome possible
Problem solving – able to identify issues, obstacles, and opportunities and then develop and implement effective solutions
Team player - enjoy working collaboratively with a team of lawyers, risk managers and underwriters
