About The Role
We have a great opportunity for an experienced Contracts and Commercial Manager to join our team on a permanent basis, reporting into the Head of IT Governance and Security.
As the Contracts and Commercial Manager you will be responsible for leading the commercial negotiation and contractual aspects of IT’s delivery, including driving commercial efficiencies from current suppliers, close liaison with portfolio delivery teams for new services and defining tender requirements for all supplier engagements. Working with teams from across our business, within IT and suppliers, this role is accountable for ensuring compliant, cost efficient delivery across Group IT.
Some of the key activities in this role will be the development and definition of Service Levels, KPI’s and Schedules to reflect onboarding of new services and the amendment and retirement of old services. You will also be responsible for service contract renewal process, for all lines within the IT budget – reviewing commercial proposals to ensure alignment to our company's UK business requirements. You will design and deliver accurate commercial reporting against all elements of service delivery so that information is available to key stakeholders and IT senior management.
You'll have a strong understanding of IT Service Delivery and specialist knowledge of the interaction between service, cost, quality and service-levels. You will have excellent communication skills and the ability to articulate complex technical language into business facing language as well as the ability to build strong relationships and communicate at all levels. You will also be a logical thinker with strong analytical skills and an ownership mindset.
