Contract Supervisor - Construction

We are looking for an individual, experienced in the roofing and construction industry, preferably with knowledge in single ply flat roofing, to join our team and work alongside our Contracts Manager. You will be supporting the Contracts Manager in all aspects of the day to day running of jobs.

This role would ideally suit an individual currently in a similar role who is looking to progress in their career, or an individual wanting to move away from being on the tools full time, seeking a supervisory role.

This is a full-time position, based from our Reading office. You will be expected to travel to sites, multiple times each week. Working throughout Berkshire, Oxfordshire and surrounding counties.

Main duties and responsibilities:

- Assisting the Contracts Manager in the day to day running of multiple projects

- Demonstrate and implement good health and safety practices

- Supporting the organisation of projects

- Ordering and planning the distribution of materials

- Organising and planning the requirements for new projects

- Travelling to site, building a rapport with and managing staff on site where required

- Supporting the Contracts Manager to ensure the smooth running of every project

- Liaising with staff and ensuring effective communication throughout the team

Skills Required:

- Being flexible, managing various responsibilities at once and prioritising accordingly

- CSCS Card (required)

- Driving Licence (required)

- Must be computer literate with good knowledge and experience using Microsoft programmes including Outlook, Excel and Word (required)

- Good understanding of Health and Safety and Risk Assessments

- Strong organisational skills and reliable

- Experience and knowledge of flat roofing and the wider construction workforce

- Works well in a fast-paced environment

- Confident working alongside others and independently

- A passion to learn and take on feedback to develop your career

- In-depth knowledge of single ply roofing would be a distinct advantage
