Contract Senior Systems Engineer

We are looking for an experienced Senior Systems Engineer for a 6 month contract role with the possibility of extension.  The Systems engineer will ensure successful capture of (Defence) customer requirements and correct implementation of development processes from initial concept through to completion.

 

Tasks may include capturing system requirements, defining architecture, developing specifications, and designing interfaces. Conducting integration, verification, and acceptance testing is essential. Also, supporting development, qualification, and certification processes, collaborating with subcontractors, enhancing processes, ensuring task completion, and aiding in project planning and bidding.

 

Contract Senior Systems Engineer essential requirements:

 

• Proficiency in requirements elicitation and understanding of effective requirement criteria.


• Demonstrated expertise in systems engineering across the entire development lifecycle.


• Ability to produce formal project documentation.


• Familiarity with validation and verification methods.


• Degree/HND level education in a relevant field; relevant experience may substitute formal qualifications.

 

Contract Senior Systems Engineer desirable skills.

 

• Familiarity with requirements management tools like DOORS.


• Knowledge of standards like ARP4754, DO-254, DO-178, DO-326, and DO-160.
