CONTRACT MANAGER
Earthstream are looking for a 'Contract Manager' to assist a project in London/Glasgow. This is for an immediate start so a UK Passport/Work permit is required for this project.
Contract Manager is responsible for developing and managing contracts within the Offshore Business. This role will involve close collaboration with teams from Construction, Operations, Legal, Insurance, Finance, and Procurement to ensure best-in-class Contract Management
Responsibilities:
To develop adequately balanced risk profiles within the client package through
contract strategy and ongoing contract management.
Implement the necessary processes and procedures required to develop the project
contract.
Project business cases are to be supported with detailed contractual assessments across the offshore installation, ports and logistics among others.
Anticipate contractual and commercial risks, opportunities and threats to the project and implement control measures or actions.
Maintain value adding relationships with all contractor and suppliers.
Coordinate all legal and procurement activities for the project area.
Collaborating closely with the Package Manager on the project
Managing and administering, the IAC contract in place with the supplier, including but not limited to claims, variations and contract amendments.
Monitoring and anticipating claims made by the contractor under the agreement and assisting in developing mitigation strategies in line with the terms.
Supporting in preparing notes of advice and commercial drafting on claims and variations.
Requirements:
A degree and professional qualification in relevant engineering disciplines or commercially orientated qualification.
Experience as project manager, project engineer or contract manager, within renewables sector, for a minimum of 10 years.
Experience in contract management, within offshore business preferably in the supply and installation of cables and associated offshore operations, for a minimum of 5 years.
The ability to manage your own performance, with a significant focus on delivery and an ability to balance a varied and challenging workload, while producing high-quality results in demanding timeframes.
Fluent in English, both verbally and written.
A good understanding of wind farm construction activities and the contractual
IT literacy, with the ability to operate MS Office systems and other project management software.
Flexibility to travel.
