Contract Senior Civil / Structural Engineer - LC28 Nuclear Inspections

Energi People are currently recruiting for a Global Engineering Consultancy who are looking to recruit a Contract Civil / Structural Engineer to carry out LC28 Magnox Inspections on a major Nuclear Facility in the North West of England.

The role will be long term and a minimum of 24 months can be offered with the expectation that this could run on longer.

The successful candidate will be happy to split their time 50/50 between office based and site based activities and will ideally be living or be happy to stay in the North West of England.

The duties of this role will include:

• Integrate and co-ordinate the design activities on projects.
• Ensuring that all design decisions are documented and traceable throughout the lifetime of the project.
• Monitoring overall design performances (quality) against the project programme and budget and provide feedback to the Project Responsible Person.
• Ensuring that all technical issues and risks on projects are identified and maintaining the technical risk register, managing the action plan to address these risks.
• Expediting important technical decisions and approvals that may affect progress.
• Working with the Project Managers to develop an appropriate engineering delivery strategy to ensure that the design can be delivered under the agreed strategy.
• Ensure the coordination of project generated design documents with those provided by subcontractors or equipment suppliers
• Maintaining and communicating the engineering programme and work breakdown structure.

Ideally call applicants will hold a BPSS Security and will be a Chartered Engineer, either MICE or MIStructE.

On offer is an hourly rate of up to �50 p/h with an immediate start available. Applicants will also need to hold a current and full driving license.
