A well known multi disciplinary design consultancy are seeking to recruit an experienced CAD Technician to join a team in our Leeds office, specialising in water projects.

As a CAD Technician you will be self-motivated and responsible for supporting the Digital Delivery team locally and potentially UK wide. Working under a Regional Disciple Lead (RDL), you will provide technical design support to our Engineering team and play a key role in the successful delivery of our projects.

Duties will include:

  • Collaborating with engineers from multi disciplines.
  • Managing personal workload plans, establishing, and maintaining delivery deadlines.
  • Preparing project drawings and BIM models, understanding, interpreting, and implementing local client CAD standards and BIM data requirements.
  • Working within the Common Data Environments for your CAD data with ISO19650 compliance.

About you

Ideally you will have a minimum HNC qualification in Civil Engineering or equivalent subjects and have experience of working on water engineering projects. In addition, you will also have:

  • Experience of working in Common Data Environments using Data management Systems such as BIM360 and ProjectWise
  • Used Civil3D for earthworks and pipeline profiles.
  • Used Revit for creating, amending structures and plant.
  • Ability to organise your workload across multiple projects
  • Ability to mentor junior staff supporting your region

Essentials for the role:

  • Must have extensive UK water industry experience
  • Able to commute to our Leeds office and be present 3 days per week
  • Happy to be flexible on rates, all inside IR35
  • Likely initial 6 months, with potential to extend
