We are assisting them with a very exciting opportunity for a Contract Accountant due to growth within the business. This is very much a people facing role working closely with the contract managers and business partners. The main purpose will be to Manage a portfolio of contracts for the business, be the lead in the forecasting and reporting for one or more contracts (Depending on the size.You will also be expected to complete the monthly management accounts and accompanying trading packs explaining the monthly and year to date variances to budget.Package & Benefits:Study support25 days holiday plus statsThe opportunity to work for a market-leading employer that offers genuine progressionHybrid workingContract Accountant Responsibilities:Review revenue & costsComplete budgets & rolling forecast.Preparing month end packs/trading packs.Liaise with the contract managers on a regular basis.Manage a portfolio of contracts within the facilities and health side of the business.Work closely with the Operational Managers to drive the monthly forecasting process for their contract.Produce accurate and detailed contract P&L’s in standard format.Produce timely and accurate management reporting to support the Operational Managers.Work to drive efficiencies and Profit Improvement PlansComplete monthly management accountsProduce accurate and detailed profit and loss in standard formatSupport collation of business risk and opportunities at a business unit levelHours:Full-time, Monday to Friday Hybrid working, 2 days in the office 3 at homeRequired Skills & Experience:Intermediate level of Microsoft Excel (pivot tables and v-look ups) is a must.Ability to business partner and build relationships with the Operational ManagersAbility to work with non-finance operational staff and able to work with clear responses.Working towards a recognised accounting qualification (ACA) (ACCA) (CIMA)Experience in working with contract accounting.If you are interested in finding out about this exciting Contract Accountant opportunity, please click ‘apply now’.Chase & Holland acts as an employment agency for permanent recruitment and an employment business for the supply of temporary workers.
