This position, reporting directly to the Managing Director, requires a dynamic individual to spearhead business solutions addressing the core issues of quality in product, process, and compliance. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in enhancing product and service standards, reducing extraneous costs, and championing efficiency across UK and European locations.
The role demands a collaborative spirit, working in partnership with site and group improvement personnel to influence site performance as per policy deployment. Your expertise will be instrumental in implementing an innovative improvement strategy, fostering a robust culture of continuous improvement, and driving business transformation.
Key responsibilities include the meticulous monitoring of performance through data analysis and reporting, supporting field performance, and advocating for corrective and preventive actions. The role is central to the company's commitment to pride, openness, excellence, teamwork, originality, and nurturing values, ensuring a positive impact on profitability, employee engagement, and customer satisfaction.
Candidates should possess a solid understanding of improvement methodologies, surface treatment technology, and specifications. A customer-centric approach, exceptional communication skills, and a strong team ethic are essential. A minimum of three years' experience in an improvement culture, preferably within the Aerospace Industry, is required. Lean sigma training or equivalent, experience in an SME, budget control, and a comprehensive grasp of HS&E legislation and aerospace regulatory requirements are highly desirable.
The ideal candidate will be degree-educated in a relevant field and will embody a professional, adaptable, and solution-oriented mindset. Adherence to health and safety standards, a commitment to excellence, and a drive to challenge the status quo are fundamental to this role. You will be based in either M5 Corridor or South Wales.
