Elevation Recruitment Group are pleased to be recruiting for a Continuous Improvement Engineer on behalf of a South Yorkshire based business who are global leaders in the manufacture of a variety of highly regulated products. 

In the role of Continuous Improvement Engineer you will be able to think creatively in order to deliver on multiple bespoke projects, ensuring efficiency, high quality and on time delivery. This role is centred around hands on delivery of CI and CI related projects, providing a platform for someone with a skilled engineering background to really make a difference. 

The Continuous Improvement Engineer's duties and responsibilities will include:


  • Leading projects in process improvement, new equipment, layouts, waste reduction, OEE and more
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure efficient and high-quality production, implement process improvements, and drive innovation in line with business objectives
  • Help ingrain a Lean Manufacturing culture within various teams and the wider business.
  • Control & reduce costs in the factory 
  • Recommend process modifications, establish robust quality control measures and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Co-ordinate the Operational Excellence agenda, leading projects to drive performance
  • Coaching, training & mentoring cross functionally on Lean methodology were required, structured daily management and KPIs, ensuring improvement actions are in place when required

Educational background required


  • Hold an Engineering Qualification (HNC, HND, Degree, Etc.) would be an advantage

Job related experience required


  • Possess a general understanding of manufacturing processes relevant to the core business
  • Lean/CI experience or equivalent combination of education and experience (Ideally a Six Sigma Green Belt) 
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments/priorities and achieve results
  • Strong interpersonal skills, happy to work independently

  • Be able to build a strong network across the business and be a positive influence for change within both the operational and management teams
  • Ability to motivate other individuals and lead change at all levels of the organisation
  • Reporting successes and project strategy to senior leadership
