Overview
To be a key member of the Project Management Office (PMO) team, reporting directly to the Head of PMO.

Lead and co-ordinate the deployment of 5S, Kaizen and Lean Six Sigma initiatives across site. To drive towards a culture of Continuous Improvement (CI) to raise performance levels and capability.
Duties and Responsibilities




  • Drive a standardized common approach site culture to Continuous Improvement using 5S and Lean Six Sigma methodologies.

  • Lead 5S, Kaizen and Continuous Improvement initiatives across site

  • Function as guardian for the site OEE system

  • Implement Lean Manufacturing strategies for workplace organization, standardized work, process flow and waste reduction.

  • Create performance management reporting through visual management methods to improve Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost and People.

  • Lead Value Stream Mapping (VSM) to find opportunities for process improvements.

  • Development of performance Key Performance Indicators

  • Deliver site training in 5S, Kaizen and Lean Six Sigma

  • Deliver site training in the use of the OEE system.

  • Ensure that all Health, Safety and Environmental requirements including (but not limited to) workplace organisation, work instructions, risk assessments, COSHH assessments and housekeeping standards are maintained.

  • Proactively driving a culture of safety performance (BBS, Near Miss reporting, Chemical Awareness, Process Safety Management)

  • Use of 5S, Kaizen methodologies to improve the safety culture on site

  • Lead CI teams within a matrix management system

  • Provide reports and updates on CI Projects to the Head of PMO, SLT and stakeholders

  • �Effective communication to CI teams required



�Qualifications




  • Recognised qualification or training in Lean Six Sigma, Kaizen or 5S methodologies



Key Skills
Essential




  • Ability to drive projects to completion.

  • Strong organizational skills

  • Effective communication skills across all levels of the business

  • Collaborative with the ability to develop strong working relationships.

  • Significant experience in a Production or Technical based role



Desirable




  • Previous experience either leading or being part of a team working on 5S, Kaizen or Lean Six Sigma (DMAIC) projects or initiatives.

  • Good knowledge of site systems, production operations and equipment

  • Significant experience in a Production or Technical based role
