A minimum of one year experience in managing patients with bladder and bowel dysfunction as well as bringing your clinical expertise is also desirable..You will be a strong team player, an excellent communicator who is adaptable, committed, well organised and work well under pressure.The post holder will ensure they deliver an effective and efficient clinical nursing services and be able to triage, assess, treat and manage clients with a bladder and/or bowel dysfunction and be able to refer on as appropriate.Due to the nature of the post, the applicant must be willing to support patients attending continence clinic, screen referrals received via single point of access and undertake home visits to support patients in their homes or similar community setting when required.Main duties of the jobAs part of the integrated team, you will be responsible for assessing the needs of individuals in the community, clinics and residential settings, who are experiencing bladder and or bowel dysfunction concerning continence promotion, assessment, and management.To plan, provide, evaluate and further develop regular in-service training for members of the Extended Primary Health Care Team to ensure that the promotion of continence is understood and promoted at all levels for example Male, Female and Suprapubic Catheterisation, Digital Rectal Examination and Promotion and Assessment of Continence for qualified staff and Catheter Care and Promotion of Continence for both qualified and unqualified staffTo provide an educational service to Social Services Staff, voluntary organisations and Care Home Staff as appropriateAbout usOur mission is to make a positive difference to people's lives by improving the quality of life for all we serve.
