The OpportunityThis top 100 national law firm are looking for an Associate, Senior Associate or Salaried Partner to join the firms Dispute Resolution & Litigation team. The role presents an opportunity for career progression as they grow this area of the practice.The successful candidate will run a caseload of primarily contentious Trusts matters, with some contentious probate work. Ideally applicants should have a STEP or ACTAPS qualification and the ability to do homegrown work in these areas.Role ResponsibilitiesManage a caseload of contentious trusts and probate matters, including will disputes, inheritance claims, trust disputes, and contested probate cases. Conduct legal research and analysis to provide accurate and strategic advice to clients.Draft legal documents, including letters of claim, pleadings, witness statements, and court submissions. Attend hearings, mediations, and settlement negotiations on behalf of clients.Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing regular updates and managing expectations effectively.Keep abreast of developments in contentious trusts and probate law and contribute to the continuous improvement of the firm's legal services.Person SpecificationMinimum 3 years’ PQEProven track record of handling complex contentious trusts cases from inception to resolution.Strong knowledge of relevant legislation, case law, and procedural rules.Excellent drafting skills with the ability to prepare clear and persuasive legal documents.Effective communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and colleagues.Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.Commitment to providing high-quality legal services and achieving the best possible outcomes for clients.Keen interest in marketing and business development.What you need to do now If you're interested in this role, click 'apply now' to forward an up-to-date copy of your CV, or call us now.
