Job Title: Content Specialist
Location: UK Remote
Start date: ASAP
Duration: 6 months
Salary: £28.37 per hour (negotiable)
Summary:
The main function of a content specialist is to aid in surfacing the best content and conversations on the Client's platforms. The typical specialist will have excellent
editorial
judgment, a strong command of social media and a good understanding of
trending news
and topics, as well as how they inform social conversations.
Job Responsibilities:
- Review a range of content, including credible news, entertainment and short-form video (SFV) from a diverse set of publishers, broadcasters, public figures, creators and influencers
- Identify cultural trends across a broad spectrum of topics
- Apply review guidelines to content at scale, maintaining commitment to accuracy and consistency
- Collaborate with our internal content and product teams to improve user experience
- Have the ability to work an atypical schedule as required, including nights, Saturday and Sundays
Requirements:
Strong editorial experience in a fast moving 24/7 newsroom environment
Very good experience in content creation experience (either guidelines that pertain to good content, or experiences in roles where they have worked with or made/analysed good content is advantageous)
- Experience in social media, content creation, journalism or digital media
- Deep knowledge of the social media landscape and SFV content
- Experience with social discovery and/or social listening tools (i.e. CrowdTangle)
- Excellent skill in editorial strategy and what makes digital content great
- Excellent communication skills, verbal and written
- Language skills a plus (e.g. Spanish, French, Portuguese, Hindi, etc.)
- Education/Experience: Bachelor's degree required or equivalent practical experience.
- Available to work on Weekends
