Through unique content that aims to excite, entertain, and educate golfers / sports fans, Rick Shiels has built a loyal following, and been a pioneer in ‘new media’, setting the benchmark for influencer marketing in golf, working with some of the world’s biggest brands, best-known players and most historic events.
RSM has amassed nearly 6 million followers across YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and TikTok, as well as having an internationally ranked Podcast. This role is focused on videography and the filming of all content for RSM, editing content for The Rick Shiels Golf Show & H.I.T Golf & creating thumbnails for videos using Adobe Photoshop.
The candidate must be an efficient organiser and comfortable working across multiple projects concurrently. A knowledge and understanding of the golf / sports industry is essential. An ‘all pitch in’ attitude is key to the success of this role.
ROLE REQUIREMENTS:
To work with production team & film all content for RSM.
Work with Lead Content Producer on budgets for equipment.
To assist with the maintenance and wellbeing of all RSM media equipment.
To assist with data backup & transfer.
To produce and edit The Rick Shiels Golf Show Podcast.
To produce and edit H.I.T Golf.
Create and upload thumbnails for all video content (RS, RSGS, H.I.T)
To work with Head of Brand & Content & Social Media Manager to ensure RSM video library is continually promoted across RSM channels.
PERSON REQUIREMENTS:
Degree in media or 3 years work experience in relevant field.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Advanced level editing (Final Cut Pro).
Excellent knowledge of camera equipment and videography.
Advanced knowledge of Adobe Photoshop.
Can work to deadlines & manage multiple projects at once.
Is a team player.
Ability to travel internationally and spend several nights away from home.
Passion for golf is a must.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
Normal office hours (Monday – Friday, 9am to 5pm), with travel and additional hours required.
Must hold a clean valid UK driving license and access to own vehicle.
Competitive salary.
Bonus Scheme.
25 days holiday, (plus public holidays), Pro-rata.
An interest and passion for golf is essential.
