Vertu Motors are looking for a versatile Content Manager to work within our experienced and successful Content Team. You will work as the Content Manager of a team of Content Executives and report to the Head of SEO.
Your role will be to lead the management of the Content Team ensuring the delivery of content is within SLA as well as reviewing internal and external briefs to ensure they meet a high standard before work is undertaken.
The role will cover our retail brands (Bristol Street Motors, Macklin Motors, Vertu Motors) along with our Ancillary Businesses (Vansdirect, Taxi Centre, Wiperblades.co.uk and more). You will be helping to position our brands as the number one retailer in their respective sectors.
You will understand what good copy is, how to deploy it to maximise results and work with teams across the business to produce first class materials.
Additionally, you will also help to mentor and guide a team of content executives through demonstrating exceptional leadership. A desire to grow members of your team is as essential as delivering high-quality content to be proud of!
The Content Manager role:
Writing, creating, and implementing high-quality, engaging content, including blog posts, articles, email, broader web content and more, tailored to the target audience across our brands.
Mentoring Content Executives.
Reporting and governance of area.
Managing content workflows to maximise efficiency of team.
Leading content ideation across the team.
Writing across Video scripts, Web, social, PR, Events, PPC, SEO, CRM, Email, and more.
Proven ability to interpret and apply a brand essence, positioning, and tone of voice.
You will be able to demonstrate strong copywriting experience that includes:
Experience working in an agency or in-house as a Copywriter.
Experience working in a content creation role.
Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
Working closely with creative briefs and ideation processes.
Experience supervising colleagues’ workloads.
You will be also able to show the following desirable interpersonal skills:
Strong communications skills.
Ability to work well with others.
Time management skills.
We are looking for a candidate that has the following preferred (but not essential) experience:
Agile planning and management.
Experience in a managerial role with proven success managing a team.
Automotive subject knowledge and experience
Experience of the following toolsets/software
Microsoft Office Suite
Harvest (or similar time tracking)
Asana (or similar ticket submission workflow)
Hemmingway
