Purpose of role:
Working within the Content team, you will scope, plan and create content that inspires target audiences to choose London. Focussing on business and consumer audiences, you will deliver content for owned channels, in-house projects and marketing campaigns. You will use a CMS and listings database to produce, optimise and update a wide variety of content, and work with the wider Marketing Services team and business on other key tasks, such as writing email newsletters, sub-editing content and website maintenance.
You will be responsible for designated websites and site sections across our owned channels including, but not limited to, visitlondon.com, grow.london and londonandpartners.com.
Key Tasks
Deliver project and “always on” digital content work for a variety of channels, including producing compelling new content, identifying and advising on requirements, and prioritising tasks.
Sub-edit digital and print content across business and consumer channels in order to ensure accuracy and consistency.
Source and curate content from third-parties (e.g. partners, stakeholders or PR contacts).
Research and idea generation to create content that inspires target audiences and delivers against targets such as traffic, stakeholder objectives and lead generation.
Work closely with teams across the wider business to support and deliver content as required including, but not limited to, social media, design and email specialists.
Use analytics to assist with creating reports, check progress and provide insights.
Follow best practice guidelines and the company style guides to ensure consistency and high-quality output.
Work with the Content Lead to craft activity plans and best practice guidelines.
Any other reasonable tasks as allocated by manager.
You’ll have/bring
Experience creating content for a consumer and/or business audience in a professional context, preferably within marketing.
Able to write engaging copy to a brief for a range of channels.
Experience writing and optimising content for search engine visibility (SEO).
Customer first and data led, using audience data to inform activity and achieve goals.
Excellent data management skills and exceptional attention to detail.
Experience sourcing, curating and repurposing copy and images.
Content management system (preferably Sitecore) experience.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office especially Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
Knowledge of best practice and industry trends including SEO and emerging AI tools.
Good working knowledge of GA4.
Committed to continuous learning.
Experience working in an agile marketing environment and as part of project teams.
