Consulting Engineer - Bioenergy/Biomethane

This permanent position is based in our central Stockport location in our bioenergy team.

We are looking for:

• A good chemical engineering degree.


• Chartered Engineer status, or actively working towards this. 


• Solid work experience, post degree, with direct involvement in the anaerobic digestion (AD) or biogas sectors with experience gained from AD/biogas project development, plant operations, plant management, and/or engineering consulting. 


• Sound technical knowledge to include AD feedstocks, AD processes, biogas upgrade, biomethane grid injection, and gas transportation. 


• Proven experience with the multi-disciplinary delivery of small projects, including budget management and delivery programs.


• Experience of carrying out AD technical due diligence on behalf of investors and/or vendors


• Experience of construction projects and technical contract drafting. 


• Good communication skills, with experience of communicating effectively with both engineering and non-engineering skilled audiences. 


• Full driving licence and able to travel in the UK, Ireland and occasionally overseas.


• Competent computing skills using MS office suite.
