Together, we lead and leave an positive impact on societies, companies and people around the world.You will join our Impact Assessment departmentAs our new EIA Consultant/Senior Consultant you will be part of our UK Impact Assessment department, which forms part of our Global Impact Assessment Spearhead. The Spearhead has been established to drive further growth and specialisation in Impact Assessment, building on our existing successes through a continued focus on national impact assessment work, alongside targeting large, strategic projects – no matter where these occur, within our geographic strongholds or beyond. Our UK business employs over 250 environmental science professionals in 14 locations and covers a breadth of consulting services structured around impact assessment, compliance, strategy and transactions, new initiatives and sustainability, product safety and stewardship, contaminated land, and Water. Ramboll operates a flexible working policy, and with this you will be part of an exciting team of experts, who respect each other and work towards a common goalYour key tasks and responsibilities will be:Desk based environmental baseline data collection and interpretationSite inspectionsInput into report writing and preparation of figures, including inputs to drafting sections of Impact Assessment chaptersPreparing materials for stakeholder meetings and public consultationsSupporting co-ordination of EIA Report preparationPreparation of meeting minutes and updating action trackersYour starting point for constant growthFrom the moment you join Ramboll, we will support your personal and professional development so that you grow with the company. For this role, we believe your starting point is:Appropriate degree in environmental sciences, environmental engineering or a related environmental disciplineMaster’s degree in an environmental discipline (advantageous)Full clean driving licencePrior EIA coordination experience on complex projectsPersonal qualities that will help you succeed in this role include: Competent and efficient report writing skills. Ability to work successfully with various sub-consultants in the delivery of a consistent EIA approach and reporting style. Excellent English communication skills, both oral and written. Well organised and able to prioritise their own workload with minimal supervision. Competent in use of Microsoft Office (particularly Word, Excel, Project and Powerpoint). Experience using GIS software for figure production would be beneficial.
